About Me

Chanhyuk Park is an Associate Professor of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Ewha Womans University in South Korea. He received his B.S. and M.S degrees from Korea University and a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2014. Prior to joining Ewha in 2018, he served as a Senior Staff Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) from 2015 to 2018. His research focuses on developing sustainable and innovative technologies for water and wastewater treatment, with an emphasis on supporting engineering decision-making. His specific research interests include membrane processes, ceramic membranes. two-dimensional (2-D) nanostructured materials, micro- and nanoplastics and water reuse to advance water infrastructure systems. 

Professor Park has received several honors, including the Ewha Young Fellow (2024-2026), the Ministry of Environment Award (2024), and the College of Engineering Teaching Excellence Award (2023). He has also served as Associate Dean of the College of Engineering (2023-2025) and Associate Vice President for the Admissions Office (2020-2022).
